What the site is

The site is a free, independent local weather hub for Wollongong NSW and the Illawarra coast. It surfaces public weather data from third parties including the Bureau of Meteorology, Open-Meteo, Windy and ECMWF.

Information only, not professional advice

All forecasts, radar imagery, observations, swell, tide, UV, fire and warning information shown on this site are provided for general information only. They are not meteorological, marine, surf, aviation, agricultural, emergency or any other form of professional advice and should not be relied on as such. The data is sourced from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect.

Life safety: always use official sources

For any decision that affects life, safety or property, including decisions about surfing, swimming, boating, fishing, driving, bushfire, flood, storm or evacuation, you must rely on the official Bureau of Meteorology forecast and warnings (bom.gov.au), the NSW SES (ses.nsw.gov.au), the NSW RFS (rfs.nsw.gov.au), Surf Life Saving NSW, and emergency services on Triple Zero (000). If there is any difference between information shown on this site and information from those official sources, the official sources prevail. The publisher accepts no responsibility for decisions made based on information shown on this site, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Third party services that the site loads or links to, including Open-Meteo, Windy, the Bureau of Meteorology, ECMWF and surf and marine forecast partners, may experience their own outages, errors or changes outside the publisher's control.

Limitation of liability (subject to the section above)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, the publisher's total liability to you in connection with the site is limited, at the publisher's option, to resupplying the information or paying the cost of having the information resupplied. The publisher is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss or damage, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, property damage or personal injury, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or any data shown on it.

Intellectual property and attribution

The site design, copy and code are the work of the publisher. Weather data shown on the site remains the property of its respective providers and is used under their respective licences and terms. In particular:

• Weather data from Open-Meteo is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
• Interactive radar and wind maps are embedded from Windy.com under Windy's free embed terms.
• Official Australian forecast and warning data is sourced from the Bureau of Meteorology and is Commonwealth of Australia copyright.
• Outbound links are provided to surf, marine and emergency partners for the convenience of users; their content remains the property of those providers.

The site links to other websites including the Bureau of Meteorology, surf and marine forecast partners, and emergency services. The publisher does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of any linked third party site.

Your responsibility

You agree to use the site for lawful, personal and informational purposes only, and not to scrape, republish or commercially redistribute data shown on the site in a way that breaches the third party providers' licences referred to above.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found by a court or tribunal to be unenforceable, that part is to be read down to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if it cannot be read down, severed from these terms. The remaining terms continue in full force.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and the publisher submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia for any dispute arising out of or in connection with the site.
